The Bidwell Wrestling Academy is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit sport organization established to teach and spread the sport of folk style wrestling. Our Academy’s primary focus is teaching in the Kindergarten to 8th Grade ages.
Our mission is to teach the young student athletes of the Academy the fundamentals of dedication, integrity and team work. We will utilize the sport of wrestling to teach and achieve these values.
Our core values are also of equal importance and are known as the three pillars of our Academy. We strive to teach these three pillars of: Strength, Honor, and Unity to each member of this Academy. This begins with the Director, coaching staff, parents and continues on to our athletes.
Strength (MANA): Physical & mental strength through the shared experience of training, cultivated and demonstrated by the ability to do what is right not just in wrestling but in life and through the expression of unity in our sport.
Honor (PONO): To do what’s right & acting in such a way to model the belief in the words you speak. To also demonstrate the balance in strength of spirit as well as physical & mental power.
Unity (OHANA): We are a family not just our academy but all those who wrestle with & against us, this feeling will manifest itself more intensely the longer you wrestler & the higher the level you compete.
