Hello Bidwell Wrestling Academy wrestlers & families. I hope everyone has had a great summer and has settled into the new school year. We will have our Registration/Information Meeting on Thursday October 13th @ 6:00PM, Bidwell JHS Library. We will have paperwork to fill out and will be accepting registration dues after the meeting, payment will be in the form of Cash, Check or CC. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back on the mat !!!

We will also add preregistration for the 2016-17 season very soon as well !! I hope all our wrestlers & families have a happy & safe summer break.
End of Season Dinner Tuesday, March 22nd @ 6:00PM
We will be having our end of the year team dinner on Tuesday March 22nd @ 6:00PM, Shenanigan’s. We will be serving pizza & salad for dinner and afterwards presenting awards for our Elementary & Varsity teams. If you have not returned your wrestler’s singlet, please do so this evening. See everyone next week !!
Bidwell Wrestling Academy places four wrestlers at the Northern Section Tournament. Xavier Gower won the 89 lbs. weight class and took home light weight MVP honors. Grant Hotchkiss took 3rd at 103 lbs. and Alijah Hernandez 4th at the same weight class. Dillan Melton also took 4th at 76 lbs. Up next for those wrestlers who qualified is the Tournament of Champions on March 12th.
Varsity wrestlers who have qualified will be meeting at Bidwell JHS @ 5:30AM Saturday morning. After weigh ins wrestlers need to report to Coach Bob @ 8:30 AM for a warm up. Wrestling will begin at 9:00 AM.
There will be a meeting for the Chili Cook Off on Wednesday Feb. 24th to give out all the necessary information and to answer any questions families may have. Meeting time is 6:30PM & location is the Bidwell JHS Library. See everyone on Wednesday !!
There will be varsity practice at the regularly scheduled time this Friday, Feb. 19th. There is NO League meet this Saturday and the next tournament is the North Section Tournament on Feb. 27th. There will be a meeting to determine which wrestlers will be moving on to the Section Tournament and we will be letting everyone know those results next week at practice.
There will be no practice on Monday, President’s Day, Feb. 15th. We will return to the wrestling room on Wednesday at our normal time, 5:30-7:00PM. The varsity wrestlers will receive their Chili Cook Off tickets on Wednesday, please make sure your parents receive them that evening. The event is scheduled for March 11th @ 6:00PM, Eagles Hall. Please make sure families purchase their family’s ticket from themselves, as an example I will be purchasing a family ticket and sell the second one to another family who has interest for next winter. Once all of our tickets are passed out we will have a meeting to discuss any question regarding our fundraiser, possibly that Friday or Monday the 22nd. Thank you
The varsity team will be meeting at Marsh JHS on Friday to help with set up for the Chico Challenge tournament. This will be during the normal practice time, Marsh gym @ 5:00 PM. Please make sure all wrestlers get with Coach Bob for weigh in times and instructions after set up.
